A Gypsy Tea Room Elopement // J+A

Jeremy and Amy’s wedding was extra special for me to capture, as they’re close friends. Jeremy and my fiancé, Justin, are best friends, so being part of their day felt even more meaningful. They envisioned an intimate elopement-style wedding with minimal coverage, and my 6-hour wedding package was the perfect fit for their plans. J + A planned a Gypsy Tea Room Elopement.

The day began with a beautiful first look at the charming courtyard of the Murray Premises. The setting provided the perfect backdrop for this heartfelt moment, setting the tone for their romantic and understated celebration.

A rainy September day didn’t dampen the spirits of these two!

After a brief outdoor first-look session, we made our way to the Gypsy Tea Room for their intimate ceremony. Jeremy and Amy chose to share their love story with a close-knit group of family and friends, creating a beautifully personal atmosphere for their celebration. As a photographer, I love the moody ambiance of the Gypsy Tea Room. In my experience, using flash works best to complement the unique atmosphere of this charming St. John’s venue.

After their ceremony, Jeremy and Amy celebrated with their loved ones. While friends and family transformed the space for the reception, we took a quick trip to O'Reilly's Irish Newfoundland Pub on George Street for a beer, followed by a stroll through downtown.

Next, we headed to their first photo location as a couple. During our consultation, they wanted a blend of urban settings and iconic coastal scenery. I knew just the spot—a hidden gem just a 5-minute walk off a hiking trail.

Then we hopped back to Cuckold's Cove

for a quick champagne pop!

We originally planned to stay at this location for a bit but the groom suggested a pit stop at McDonald's.

It's pretty iconic if you ask me!!

Next, we went to Bowering Park for some family and bridal party portraits. The park's iconic willow tree provided the perfect backdrop for wedding photos, and we captured some truly magical moments!

RECEPTION TIME

This is where I put away the camera to celebrate with my friends. They had an absolute blast dancing and having fun with their friends and family.

Congratulations
